3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting Drills For Kids and Adults, July 26, 2007
This review is from: 77 Fun and Exciting Martial Arts Drills DVD (DVD)
I recently watched this DVD and found it pretty interesting. I was looking for drills to use for martial arts classes for children and I definitely found some good ones here. There are also some interesting drills for adults. I think this is a good resource to keep on hand for instructors of martial arts.

3.0 out of 5 stars Best for martial art teachers or with a group of martial art friends, June 15, 2007
This review is from: 77 Fun and Exciting Martial Arts Drills DVD (DVD)
I rented this & viewed it with a martial art teacher friend. These drills are for giving practices for students or out of class practice that isn't basic punching & kicking air.
Some of the drills are leap frog, kangaroo jumping, kicking using a bike tire or rubber tension that a partner holds to increase strength in the legs. Others are 2 students standing around 1 student holding a paddle & randomly facing each of them to kick it to increase reaction time & precision.
More is wrestling 1 on 1... one on top.. using only arms to topple the top student, or only using legs. Another is both on knees using arms to get the opponent to the ground.
More is putting out several pads for students to jump over in a relay, 1 on 1 students practicing blocks while other punches, jumping jacks, crawling on elbows in knees forwards & back, etc.
Each drill is show in a room with students age 7-50+ with off camera voice giving quick instruction & the students performing them. Most students did drills sloppy or trying to do it with as little effort as possible if it wasn't a straight forward punch, kick or blocking move practice.
We made remarks about using bike tire held by another person... why not put the other end around something else instead of boring another person holding it? He also agreed to my question that the bike tire would destroy good form if the student has not enough practice such as years in & not perfected his form yet.
My martial arts teacher said it was ok for him, we watched about 30 of them before he got bored & said he'll check out the rest to see anything good for him.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, March 11, 2011

Just as the other reviewers are saying: These drills were not very good, are very common sense, and looks like it was filmed in the 80's. I recommend you check out endlessmartialartsdrills over this product.
