Grade 5 Up This introduction to physics will captivate young people with its explanation of physics in daily life and with its colorful format. Attention-getting chapters focus on physics in recreational activities (amusement parks, laser shows, music), nature, home, and in sports (baseball, pole-vaulting, gymnastics). Experimentsall safeare scattered throughout the book. Only two require the presence of an adult. Each experiment is accompanied by a colorful illustration, and color photographs are used lavishly throughout the book. Some of the experiments appear in other books for this age group, but the choice of subject matter and its innovative presentation make this book a strong consideration for any collection.
