5.0 out of 5 stars A Fun Collection June 26, 2012
By BookNut
Format:Kindle Edition
Dinosaurs, Cowboys, Pirates, and a brave Knight in Shining Armor - a perfect selection for every young boy.
My young nephew is hooked on these and his current favorite is the Dinosaur who is afraid of vegetables - that one provides some great ideas for dealing with a picky eater!
Something for everyone here - highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great collection of books! June 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I bought one of Lily's other books a few months ago and decided to pick up this collection as well. I'm glad I did! My nephew LOVED all of the books, and I loved the messages behind the stories (these aren't just rhyming stories). The illustrations are beautiful on my Kindle Fire and the formatting is flawless. This is one book I'll be keeping on my Kindle for babysitting!

I bought one of these books in the series and liked the story and the moral of the story. So When I saw this collection I had to pick it up, and it's just awesome. Every story has a great moral that your children can learn from! Highly recommended!

5 Fun Rhyming Boys Stories: Ultimate Boy's Collection (Fun Rhyming Children's Books) [Kindle Edition] by Lily Lexington
Illustrated very colorful children's book. First story is about Danny and he's listened to many stories about heroes and he wants to be one also. He finds it hard to get to sleep at night.
He hears a scream, very long and he rushes to save the girl. He finds out she only wanted someone to taste her stew.
Another story is of a dinosaur and he doesn't like vegetables. When he gets tired from a ball game they figure out he needs more energy and if he ate vegetables he'd have more energy.
Cute tales for boys especially that you can turn into a lesson for the day in real life.
Other works by the author are highlighted at the end.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book July 16, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I got this book to read to my grandsons. It is simple; amusing; imaginative on a child's level; plus it teaches things like teamwork, helping others, and obeying. I enjoyed it very much and would recommend it!! Let's keep the innocence of children alive and flourishing... they don't need to have the "grown up" world thrown at them yet!

5.0 out of 5 stars BOYS BOOKS?.... or maybe not so much May 15, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This review is being done on the Kindle edition of five of Lily Lexington's most popular stories. They are advertised as being boy's stories, but I would not restrict them to one gender. While the themes of the books are traditionally viewed as male, the lessons imparted can be absolutely applied to both sexes.
In the first story, Danny is a geeky nerd whose wish it is to be a hero. As soon as his mother leaves his bedside, Danny becomes a knight who must slay beasts and rescue a princess. Only the princess proves to be anything but a damsel in distress! Danny learns a lot about friendship.

The second book features a boy named Jack and his dinosaur friend who does not like to eat vegetables. Of course Jack does not eat them in support of his friend. When mom decides there is nothing else in the house to eat but vegetables, Jack and his dinosaur go about their day at play and learn important lessons about good nutrition.

In the third book we meet two very competitive brothers who both have dinosaur pets. They have planned a great race riding on their dinosaurs. When trouble arises, they each think that they have a better solution, but to their surprise neither of them can win alone. Will they be able to save themselves and solve the problem?
Six pirate friends are the characters in the fourth book. Though close friends each of them have very different personalities. They could not agree where to sail their pirate ship. Worse than that, the pirates had run out of food! So the wise pirate finally takes matters into his own hands and sets sail while the rest sleep. When they awake in a strange place, they will have to learn a valuable lesson if they are going to survive.

The last selection features Billy; a brave little cowboy who does not like to bathe.
