First off, the hand mold is very good-- it's bigger than I expected and takes 2 full packages of Jello, and looks like a realistic hand. The problem, though, is that it doesn't lend itself to balancing in the refrigerator. I poured the liquid Jello into it and... had no idea what to do. It doesn't have a flat bottom or a stand, so you have to figure out how to get it balanced just right so the Jello doesn't spill out of it or harden "crooked." None of my bowls were just right for the mold to sit in, so I ended up making this crazy concoction that involved one of my stove burners and assorted jars in my fridge to keep it balanced.

Aside from Jello, you just need cooking spray, and you get it out of the mold easiest by washing your hands, then wetting your fingers and sort of coaxing it out onto a plate. Turned out very well.

Toy? Gelatin?

NOT! Used it to make Meat Loaf, ketchup and pieces of onion for the nails, perhaps next time I will use string beans for tendons!

Made for a once in a time and again, again and still again experience.

Had to prop it with some aluminum foil in a rimmed baking sheet. Very easy release (I used jello). Thanks!

Hard plastic mold. I used it for chocolate. This mold is quite large--I ended up putting chocolate down thinly, then adding jam (for "blood") in the middle, with more chocolate on top. The fingers were hard to cut after that--but everyone loved eating it! Guess I should have just tried to break the fingers off... (Used this for a "forensics feast")

I really liked the concept, but in practice this has a few flaws. The design makes it hard to de-mold. The is probably mostly my fault for being sort of an armature. Additionally, the mold doesn't have any supports which would allow it to sit level. It sits OK without, but I ended up propping it up on other items in the fridge.

This mold is a little bigger than I thought but it is so sturdy and so nice I will use it for a multitude of things. My original use was for a hand meatloaf for a halloween party. It worked so wonderfully. I can also use it for ice to put into the punch bowl or use it for jello and insert some edible bones or other creepy things.

This worked extremely well for my meatloaf hand. Some trouble with sticking to the inside, but not too bad. Did not work at all for Jello. It adhered to the inside so much that attempts to dislodge it just ruined the form. Hot water in the future may be helpful

I melted gummy beard down to make a fun zombie hand for my son. I sprayed the mold with pam and the gummy mixture popped out easily. I used less than five pounds of gummy bears and the finished product came out looking very cool.
