Terrific, versatile bag for my kids!,

This review is from: Functional Design® Kids' Sleeping Bag (2 Expanders) (Misc.)
We've had the Sweetie Pie sleeping bag doubler for 3+ years now and we LOVE it. We spend our summers in SE Alaska and it's become and absolutely essential piece of camping gear for us. I zipped it into my bag to make room for my daughter when she was still little and nursing. Now she is 4.5 and sleeps in it as her own sleeping bag- both when we're camping but also at home. She slept in it every night on the floor of her room for over a year! Now we're buying a second doubler for our 1.5 year old.

Great kids bag with a bonus!,

The wizard is a great kids bag made from the same materials as 'serious' adult bags. The big bonus with this bag is that one half, or even both halves can be zipped into the adult bag (as a 'doubler') with enough room for parent+kid or enough room for two adults. My daughter is young enough that she sleeps with my wife using half this bag zipped into her bag. As she gets older she can sleep on her own. When she's old enough to stay home with Gran :) my wife and I can do some backcountry hiking and camping ourselves and save some weight by using the kids bag as a doubler. That's great flexibility!
Pros: * Great bag until your kid is ready for a full size one and then great as a doubler. * Doubler provides an adequate amount of room for two people. * When combined with a warm sleeping bag, is adequate for three-season use. * Can be used on the bottom in combination with a down bag. * Provides significant weight savings over two separate sleeping bags. * Fits in sleeping bag stuff sack, and can be left attached to sleeping bag, (effectively saving space/weight) Cons: * As a kids bag, none * When used as a doubler only one hood available for use (the attached sleeping bag's hood), reducing warmth. We tucked a fleece sweater in around our necks-cozy solution.

Its what we always dreamed of,

My wife and daughter and I love this convertible sleeping bag. We were always concerned about keeping our daughter warm when camping in the Cascades and had carried extra full sleeping bags and blankets on hikes and camping trips. This bag is a light weight and easy solution with the benefit that it can be a single sleeper for our daughter when she wants to use it that way (which is usually in her play room!). We are extremely happy with this purchase. We have had no problems with zipper compatibility which was a problem we ran into when we had previously tried to combine full sleeping bags.
