This hands-on textbook/workbook teaches readers how to document functional outcomes in a clear, logical progression. Extensive examples and exercises in each chapter highlight the essential points of functional outcomes documentation, designed to help improve client function and reduce disability as well as provide evidence of functional progress for insurance payment and reimbursement.
  • Provides both theoretical foundations and a practical approach to functional outcomes documentation.

This review is from: Functional Outcomes Documentation for Rehabilitation, 1e (Paperback)
I purchased this book to help my physical therapy staff develop goals that are more functional, as Medicare and most other 3rd party payers require. It was simply a SUPER resource -- both with examples, but even more importantly, with explanatory rationale. I think my staff is totally on board now, and I expect few or no Medicare reviews! Cannot give a higher rating to this book. A++++

This book uses the Nagi Disablement Model, which the APTA left behind to shift to the ICF model.
