The goal of Fundamental Financial Accounting Concepts is to enable students to understand how any given business event affects the financial statements. The “financial statements model” is a highly praised feature because it allows students to visualize the simultaneous impact of business events on all of the key financial statements (the income statement, the balance sheet, and the statement of cash flows). I'm an acting CFO without educational background in accounting, so I hoped to find some new knowledge here and get my 'real life' experience more academic feel. This book is very good written and must be one of the best school books. Some disappointment came from the fact that I did not find anything new to me in this book, and I expected more complex issues to be covered, however this is mostly due to wrong expectations from this book at the purchase. I can highly recommend this book for those who start learning accounting, but it covers only basic concepts.
