Excellent reading for people interested in aquaculture,
By John Shannonhouse (jlshanno@students.wisc.edu) (Madison, Wisconsin, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fundamentals of Aquaculture : A Step-By-Step Guide to Commercial Aquaculture (Paperback)
This book covers almost everything about aquaculture: the biology, the business, pond construction, etc. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is trying to get started in aquaculture. I not only learned about the methods of aquaculture, but also more about starting a business than I have learned from any class I have taken. The book covers many areas of aquaculture and has an extensive bibliography for more detailed reading on any subject. The only problem I had with the book is that it was biased towards pond-based, fresh- and brackish-water aquaculture of finfish, but I would still recommend it for people interested in any kind of system.
