I learned thermodaymics in school with this book.
The book is old, but thermodynamics does not change that quickly. Besides, there are always new empirical formulas that better match the data, but are not based on useful concepts. I wanted the old book because I sold mine at college 20 years before and I wanted to relearn some stuff. I was not disappointed.

Bad book
I had to use this text in college and it was the worst book in four years of study. If you want a long boring explanation of thermodynamics choose this book. I can not in any way recommend this book. See Moran or Ceagel or JP Holman much better books.
