4.0 out of 5 stars Reviewing the Fundamentals of Economics
As far as basic economic textbooks go, this one is very good. The authors do a great job of putting complex economic theories into terms the average student can easily understand without over-simplifying them. The graphs are always colorful and well labeled, and the real-life examples used in the text really do help the student to see how various theories operate in...

3.0 out of 5 stars A Little too advanced for beginnrs
Though "Fundamentals of Economics" is meant to be an introduction to the world of economics, there are graphs and explanations that go way over the head of any beginner. As far as basic economic textbooks go, this one is very good. The authors do a great job of putting complex economic theories into terms the average student can easily understand without over-simplifying them. The graphs are always colorful and well labeled, and the real-life examples used in the text really do help the student to see how various theories operate in reality. While the pedagogical devices used throughout the book make the text very easy to learn and study.

This review is from: Fundamentals of Economics (Paperback)
Though "Fundamentals of Economics" is meant to be an introduction to the world of economics, there are graphs and explanations that go way over the head of any beginner. Most of the information in each chapter makes sense, but there are occurences when the book begins delving into the math behind certain graphs and completely loses the reader. However, there are very nice study questions and quizzes at the end of each chapter with answers in the back of the book. There is also a vocabulary index that explains key terms. So if you are not looking to fully understand graphs and only want to get the jist of main terms, the book works fine, but if your teacher wants you to be able to fill in the graphs yourself on tests, I recommend getting a better book.
