Excellent General Review Book,
By A Customer
This review is from: Fundamentals of Engineering Review (General) New 9th edition (Fundamentals of Engineering, 9th ed) (Paperback)
I used this review manual in addition to a few others to prepare for the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam. Throughout the course of my studying, I found I used this one almost exclusively. It covers a large spectrum of most of the topics found on the General Section of the FE exam. The reviews are detailed enough to obtain an understanding of the topic without drowning you with too much information. I had been out of grad school for 8 years when I took the FE exam, and there were some subjects on the General Exam that I never had at the college level. However, this book obviously prepared me enough to pass the FE exam on the first attempt. I would strongly recommend using this review manual as the core of your exam preparation.

This review is from: Fundamentals of Engineering Review (General) New 9th edition (Fundamentals of Engineering, 9th ed) (Paperback)
I used this book exclusively to study for the FE, and found it to be very helpful. It helped review concepts I had not looked at in a while as well as teach new ones. I used the 9th edition even though it was not the most current, since I could get it for a lower price and was not disappointed.I passed the exam and nothing about the exam day surprised me as it was all very similar to the review this book gives. The practice tests themselves make this book worth buying as it gives you a good feel on how long you can spend on each section. The practice problems, and solved solutions help a lot especially for me who never took fluid dynamics since I am a EE. I would definitely recommend this book as a supplement to studying for the FE or as in my case a standalone tool.
