About the Author

John Wood works in the Modeling and Design Tools Group at the Worldwide Process and Technology Centers of Agilent Technologies. He holds a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in electrical and electronic engineering from the University of Leeds.

David E. Root is principal research scientist at the Worldwide Process and Technology Centers of Agilent Technologies. He holds B.S. degrees in physics and mathematics, and a Ph.D. in theoretical physics, all from MIT. He is a fellow of the IEEE.
