Fun game with just a few quirks...,

This is a game a lot like the board game Scattergories. But instead of rolling a letter and thinking of a bunch of answers to different categories that all start with that letter, you are given a category (like Brands of Beer) and you must quickly shout out brands of beers that start with all 26 letters (ok not exactly, "x" and "y" are combined... so 25 letters. The first person or team to use all 25 wins! The "trick" is that you only get 30 seconds, and then its the other person/teams turn... your "used" letters are stored from round to round, so if you say "Antelope" for "Wild Mammals" in round one, you don't need another "A" answer for round two! Also thrown into the mix are "Steals" where you attempt to "light back up" your opponents letters so they have to use them AGAIN and "free" rounds where you can just turn off a particularly troublesome letter that you just can't seem to find an answer for (Like U, or Q or Z!!!)
There were just a few quirks to the game, none of which are very worrisome. One is the "random" choice of "STEAL" on the very first turn of the game. Sometimes this happens and you just have to restart the game, because no on has taken a turn yet and thus there is NOTHING to steal! Also, you'll want to quickly develop some "house rules"... "creative" people can try and give some "creative" answers, and it will be up to the group whether or not to accept them. For example, under the "Romantic Gifts" category... can a hug be considered a romantic gift? A necktie? The game moves along swiftly, and since the category cards fit nicely inside a compartment on the back of the unit, this is an ideal travel game.

This is my second purchase of the same game. In both cases, the keys only worked for a short period of time. Very poor quality. I would not recommend it.

I purchased this game after visiting my sister and playing the original "board" version with her friends. We tried to play this electronic version and twice it started over in the middle of the game. I am not sure whether it is intended to be passed around or just kept in one spot on the table. It is frustrating when you are in the middle of playing the game and it starts over. I would love to have the one with the board and the red disks.
