We purchased 2 Hot Potatos for one of the party games for oldest child's (boy) 8 year old birthday party. All the boys and girls LOVED it - and it got tossed, hit on the floor, even sat on. It was great fun then and it still is - - my three boys still love playing with the "hot potato". I would recommend this for birthday parties too - all the kids loved it - their parents thought it was great too!

We bought a hot potato very similar to this one years and years ago. Our youngest son is mentally challenged and has always adored this game. During a move we misplaced his hot potato he was depressed for ages. Then I finally found this hot potato on Amazon. We are all again happily playing hot potato with are son and now with our 4 grandsons(sons of our oldest). They all just love it and now want one for their house. Of course grandma will have to comply come Christmas.

What a fun little toy. Nothing educational about it, just a fun toy. Something parents can play with their children. No set-up, doesn't take hours. Just pick it up, turn it on, and toss it. We find ourselves just picking it up and playing for a few minutes at a time between other (non-interactive) activities or chores. Good to have around the house. What more could you want in a toy!

I bought this toy for my nephew for Christmas, however I received it by Thanksgiving and decided to give him an early present. My nephew is six and has a four year old brother as well as three older brothers (13, 16 and 19). I enjoyed seeing all five boys interact at the same time with this game, it is hard to find something that is fun for all ages.

Fun, but the inside is hard plastic and you have to be careful when you toss it. Also, the volume is very low and there is no volume control. So, it's a little hard to hear the music.

Hot Potato is always a fun game for kids and adults. I was disapointed in the potato. You press the potato and the music starts. So you start throwing the potato but the potato has very little cushion around the music box inside hurt its when you get hit by it if you dont catch it. Also the last time we played it the potato hit the ground hard now the music is not that loud. My 2 year old got hit in the head with it and it hurt her bad. Bad product i would look for another hot potato game.

Creates lots of fun with the children. Helps in controlling the ability to catch items. Improves coordination ability. A Excellent product.

I, mom, purchased this gift for my 31 year old daughter who has multiple handicapping conditions. Her mental abilities are around 5 to 7 years old.
She lives in a group home, so I only saw her with the game while she was visiting here for the day. She did appear to enjoy the way the game was played and the music of the toy. I was pleased with the purchase. I purchsed the game again for a couple whose nicknames are Spuds and Yammie and are called the Taters. That was just to be funny...

The concept of the Hot Potato Game is so much fun. The toy worked for the first half hour of play, however, the sound was always too low right out of the box. The toy was not misused as mostly adults were playing. It was great fun from the standpoint that it was soft and easy to pass, but it quickly became useless when the sound failed. It was thrown away after the first use. Huge disappointment.

My boys are 11 years old. They loved this toy. As you can imagine, throwing this around, it hits the floor quite a bit. Well after about 5-10 minutes, it hit the ground another time and never worked again. Very disappointed. You would think they would make this a little more durable.
