Biography

Never crossed paths with The Pack A.D.?
Too bad for you. This band is fucking killer, it really is. And, for the record, Becky Black and Maya Miller have probably already laid waste to some decrepit rock ‘n’ roll pit in your hometown at least a couple of times because The Pack have been touring anywhere and everywhere – and getting better and better and better at what it ... I'm a big fan of two kinds of music - blues and punk. The order is interchangeable. This album hits on both sides. It's great traditional blues built on basic songs and short lyrics, but instead of being delivered on an acoustic guitar - this album grabs you by the throat and makes you listen.

I'll listen to this for the primitive and gutsy feel that is in each song. This isn't a Clapton album (thankfully) and isn't filled with tricky solos and overdubs or horns - it's guitar+drums. Period. And it works. It's what rock music should be - unpredictable and gutsy.

I love this album! Stumbled upon them on Pandora, and quickly downloaded this from amazon. They sorta remind me of concrete blonde, but in with an updated style.

Love this album. I heard one song on a TV show and they reminded me of Concrete Blonde so I bought the album. Download worked great and was cheaper than through iTunes.

I was initially exposed to this band through a targeted ad on Facebook (they were in concert at a local venue). I'd never heard of them before, so thought I would check them out on my favorite music source (Amazon). After listing to samples from a few of their albums, I landed on this one. Almost every sample I listened to from this release resonated with me, so I bought the CD. After several spins, I can say with confidence that this is a GREAT CD! These two artists manage to grind out a gritty, blues-rock sound that is reminiscent of the early days of The Black Keys. Becky Black's haunting vocals and wicked guitar work are driven by Maya Millers powerful drumming, giving every song a unique but familiar sound. This is truly a brilliant album if you like your rock heavily laced with Blues. I've become an instant fan of this group.
