I have gone through spurts for the last decade of falling into the gravity well that is TFUL-282. I have finally acquired this CD as it was one that I hadn't owned or heard yet...This band had the uncanny ability to churn out albums that were quite different from all the others and in doing so ALWAYS brought something new to the table. You are sure to hear, on every TFUL-282 album, something that no other band or musician had tried or done. They are wholly addictive. That being said, there is a melancholy air to this EP that reeks of purpose. Their usual playfulness is not entirely absent but it is definitely quite subdued. If I were to make a compilation album of Thinking Fellers music, a number of songs on Funeral Pudding would serve as quite suitable epitaphs for a fabulous band that is no longer with us, but sorely missed.

Ah, the melodic cacophony! Glorious noises are woven together, an assemblage of scrap metal welded together. The result, a delectable album for your enjoyment. A much better work than their album "Strangers from the Universe," which is more noise than harmony. One fault: too damn short!
