It's pleasant smelling, generous lather, and a tiny bit goes a long way.

Seriously, the active ingredient "Sepia 12x" means that they took "Cuttlefish ink", diluted it to 1/10th, 12 times.

And dove beauty bar is economical and great for itchy dry skin especially in the winter.

I used this product for 3 weeks watching my jock-itch infection slowly grow larger, more painful and less manageable. So I did a little research. Turns out all this is, is well-marketed over-priced tea-tree soap.

Seriously, the active ingredient "Sepia 12x" means that they took "Cuttlefish ink", diluted it to 1/10th, 12 times. AKA 1 part per 1,000,000,000,000. YES. ONE PART PER TRILLION. Of course since every person in the world is now breathing radioactive particles from the Fukushima Dai-ichi powerplant at higher concentrations than that (completely harmless up until about 1 part per million, or 1 million times more concentrated than "Sepia 12x". How can an active ingredient exist in lower concentrations than radioactive trace amounts. Ludicrous.

Anyways, after the jock-itch permanently changed the color of my skin and spread over my groin and chest, I switched to a real anti-fungal like Tinactin or Lotrimin and thanks to an active ingredient in normal (1-2% concentrations rather than scientifically undetectable amounts) and lo and behold the jock itch went away.

That I bought this product shows sloppiness on my part. I didn't get it through Amazon, I picked it up at a local pharmacy and I am heading back there to give the pharmacist an earful.

Whichever side of the homeopathy argument you stand on, I would hope you would prefer to have homeopathic products clearly labeled as such, instead of being tucked in with conventional medicine.

I read the ingredients. The only active ingredient was SepiaX. Oh, I should have paid attention to the X.

I was not familiar with Sepia in this context. As it was capitalized, I assumed it was the name of a genus. The only genus I know with the name Sepia, is a cephalopod. But it didn't occur to me that this was actually the cuttlefish! Tentacles ahoy!

I assumed this plant-based. But the name intrigued me, so before I opened the package, I looked it up. The first hit on Google showed it as a homeopathic remedy. $#*%!!!!!

Now one of the reviewers here claims great results with this stuff and I am happy for him. Sounds like all he needed was some regular hygiene and the touch of tea-tree oil, which is a PROVEN antifungal, that is in the product but not listed as the active ingredient. Or perhaps the placebo effect.

In any event, the packaging is very misleading.

I haven't heard of any study that showed that cuttlefish ink is an antifungal. But even if there was a cuttlefish ink that did kill fungus, it is unlikely that all cuttlefish inks would do so. Just as every species of spider has a different formula for webbing, every species of venomous snake has a different "recipe" for poison, etc... etc..., there are going to be variations in what makes up the ink of a given species of cuttlefish.

This is the only product that I have ever used which took care of the itching immediately and cured a bout of ring worm and later jock itch within seven days. Do not be fooled by people who have not tried this product but who are skeptical of homeopathic ingredients. This soap works- as the pharmacist who sold it told me said it did. People come back for more.

A side effect of one of the medications I take is an increased susceptibility to fungal infections and other skin problems. Stopping the medication is not an option, so I have been going through tube after tube of Lotrimin, which is messy and really wasn't working that well. I don't know how well this product works on curing fungal infections, but It is excellent at keeping them from recurring. Use it as directed every morning and night and hopefully it will work as well for you as it does for me. This size bottle will last a while because a little goes a long way.

This product WORKS! I purchased it to use with a fungal cure spray powder. I can no longer find this product ANYWHERE, except this order on Amazon. I paid quite a lot of money for it because it appears the company pulled the product from the market (drat!). This product is first line of defense in treating fungal "issues". It's pleasant smelling, generous lather, and a tiny bit goes a long way.
I love it.

I have found this product in sport stores and some grocery stores for only $11.95 and on here it's triple that amount, even if you get 2 of them on here that's still way to much money. You are all getting ripped off based on this price online.

This is a great product in my opinion, I’ve used it maybe once a month as a body wash for the past three years. My wife actually told me I smell good after I use it. I’m sorry that the company is discounted the product and the price is increased from the original $7.95 for a 6 oz. Many of the low star reviews are by people who should consult a dermatologist, this stuff is probably better for minor skin issues. Anyway it always kept my itchy skin and athlete’s foot in check for three years. I found a similar product on amazon, Tea Tree Ultimates - Funga Soap, will give that a try. And dove beauty bar is economical and great for itchy dry skin especially in the winter.
