Being that this is a funk compilation from "the far corners of the globe" and Turkish group Les Mogol are featured, I was expecting more of a psych-funk compilation. Instead, what we get is more of a funky library/blaxploitation groove kind of album. Which is in no way a bad thing. The jams are tight (mostly instrumentals) and there are plenty of nice breaks throughout. 4 stars because the set gets a little repetetive sounding which is unfortunate given the diversity of talent, but overall an enjoyable comp.
