OK. Where else are you going to find Betty Wright, Linda Clifford, Betty Harris and The Jones Girls on one disc? Funksoul Sisters is a wonderful CD focusing on the ladies you might have forgotton or just weren't aware of. The mix is great. The selection of artists by Ian McCann shows a real appreciation and respect for the hotpants and afros era. These women created some amazing music and it's a sin to keep it locked away. Clean Up Woman may not be a song that very one knows, but Betty Wright cuts to the core. That's just one of sixteen killer cuts. Show some style and give the girls their props. One funky, soulful song after another. If you appreciate grooves and soul. This is for you.
