5.0 out of 5 stars Free your Mind...
I saw the band one night before they rolled tape on this and its pretty much the same show. GC & company back to show the industry how it aught to be done. One powerful performance. Seek out part one of this , also released , forget the name of it though. This is the upteenth 'comeback' of the funk and the tour came on the heels of Clinton's just-released Cinderella...

1.0 out of 5 stars Time for some new funk
Gave it one star because I have these songs already. 10 star funk jams, but I can't believe this funk keeps getting recycled over and over again. Only thing new on this joint is the art work. Purchased this cd with the hope to hear some new re-mixes. Even one cut would have been cool. I have all of these songs on different CD's vinyl, etc. When are the true pioneers...

Seek out part one of this , also released , forget the name of it though. This is the upteenth 'comeback' of the funk and the tour came on the heels of Clinton's just-released Cinderella Theory cd on Prince's label. May be the best live recording of 'We Want the Funk' I have ever heard.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funk is it's own reward., February 1, 2010

Wonderful live set from George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars around 1989. Blackbyrd is the main guitarist so you get a rare performance of "Maggot Brain" by him as opposed to Eddie Hazel or Mike Hampton. Don't get me wrong, I love Eddie and Mike, but it was nice to hear Dwayne's take on that somber classic. Also getting to hear "Sir Nose" and "Pump it Up" live are a real treat. Highly recommended. \m/

5.0 out of 5 stars "The Best Live P.Funk Recording Ever!", August 8, 2009
This review is from: Funk Um Agin...(Live in L.a.) (Audio CD)
Having attended no less than 6 Parliament-Funkadelic concerts between 1976 and 1978, and hearing at least 5 'LIVE' P.Funk recordings...1) "Parliament Live: P.Funk Earth Tour" 2) "Funkadelic Live At Meadowbrook 1972" 3) "P.Funk All Stars Live At The Beverly Theatre" 4) "Live...And Kickin'", "5,000 Kilowatts Of P.Funk Power", "Take It To The Stage" and "The Best Of George Clinton Live!...which are actually all the same album, and 5) "Parliament-Funkadelic Live At Montruex 2004" I feel more than qualified, to tell the readers of this review that "Funk Um Agin...(Live In L.A.)" is by far the 'BEST' recorded P.Funk performance ever! From beginning to end this CD litarally 'ROCKS' with 25 of Parliament-Funkadelic's best performances of "Cosmic Slop", "Up For The Down Stroke", "Alice In My Fantasies", "Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On", "Maggot Brain", "Good To Your Earhole", "(Not Just) Knee Deep", "Sir Nose D'Void Of Funk" and "Atomic Dog" that I have ever heard on any 'LIVE' recording! This is a very rare CD, but if you're a George Clinton/Parliament-Funkadelic fan, it would be well worth your while, to find this 2 Disc CD and make it a part of your P.Funk collection.

Funk artist Bride original D Silva has the best new funk material out there right now. Waiting for her new jams. Seems she's the only one stepping up to the plate keeping it fresh phat and funky.
