Funky to Fabulous is a book filled with pragmatic, easy-to-implement strategies to help women of all ages move from funky to fabulous. I am 60+ years old, and I found this book just as relevant to me, as it is to my daughters and grand-daughter. Eli's writing style is breezy, fun, and easy to read. I sat down with the book on a rainy day, and read right through. I would highly recommend this book for one's own reading pleasure, or as a gift to a woman of any age.

Very few of us make it through life without collecting a handfull of battle scars. Like wine, some years are really great. Most years are simply like 'vin ordinaire.' In some years the wine turns to vinegar. It seems that those are the years that give us the incentive to finally grab ourselves and make the changes that we know we should have made long ago.

Ms. Davidson says that this book started when in a period of 18 months she lost her business, marriage and health leaving her with $88,000 of debt.

She found a way to turn around her life. And a lot of it makes sense to both genders. But not all of it. At one point she talks about putting on her Good Idea Boa, slipped into her Tall girl Shoes, and grabbed a tiara. I'd look really funny dressed that way, and I really don't think it would suit my image at all.

Other than that, the questions she asks of her clients, the suggestions and approaches she makes are not 'for women only.' If you are, or if you know of a man struggling with having been fired, divorced, health problems, etc. buy him the book - don't bother getting him a pair of shoes.

I love this book because it is written in the new style for people that are trying to cram 34 hours into a 24 hour day.

I have used a quote from this book many times with my friends and associates - the one about driving with your rear view mirror. I repeat it to myself if I catch myself thinking about stuff I should skip. Everyone knows you get what you focus on but the quote has a way of keeping people from forgetting something so obvious.

I wasn't feeling funky when I read it, but there were tips that I wasn't even thinking about that took very little time to incorporate into my busy schedule and the quality of my life improved.

Funky to Fabulous reads as if Eli Davidson is speaking directly to me! I experience each chapter as a present conversation with a girlfriend which makes it flow, easy to read and fun while providing very sensible and time-realistic exercises for deep issues/transformations. This book also really does work as a "just turn to the page" guide for right now results (rather than having to read front to back to get a full message). There are several exercises that I keep going back to and I love that I can use this book this way. I get right to the point with clear step-by-step resolutions and am always called straight back into the truth of my fullness. Gotta love instant results! And, along with my increasingly fabulous outlook comes my increasingly fabulous life!

I learned about this book after my daughter had an opportunity to participate in a day-long session with its author, Eli Davidson. Eli is an amazing person who knows how to get the best out of people. I saw an amazing transformation in my daughter after she worked with Eli. I wanted some of that for myself, so I read the book. It's a fun read, but full of great ideas and ways to live a more successful life. It's pretty much a game-changer for me. I recommend this book to anyone who feels "stuck" in their life.

I loved reading this book. I refer back to it all the time for inspiration. I have highlighted areas in the book for a "ready reference". I would recommend this book to anyone. I have even bought it as gifts for my friends.

Funky to Fabulous is unlike any other Self-Help book I've read. It's spunky, gutsy, and hysterical. Davidson's down to earth approach and writing style makes the book fun and easy to read. Many self-help books are complete snoozers but Funky to Fabulous is blunt, earnest, and funny. As I was reading the book, I found myself relating to all the funky behavior Davidson points out. I took her suggestions and did the exercises at the end of each chapter and they actually made me feel more in control. I've started making little changes in my life as the book suggests and it feels great!

I recommend this book to anyone who feels like they need a transformation. Stress management, finances, personal outlook, and self esteem...Davidson addresses all of these and more. Buy the book today, you will not regret it.
