Stories using pre-primer through first grade Dolch sight words are translated into Spanish for ESL classes. These are the most frequently used words in K-3 books in English. These words often do not follow decoding rules and must be known on sight such as to, two, and too. Spanish follows English text on each page. Usage notes are included to help teach English to Spanish speaking people. The reader is referred to the website for many additional helps in learning English.
The Learning Abilities Books site has my detailed bio along with contact information and a sign-up page for the newsletter. I am a children's book author who has worked as a school psychologist, school counselor, and a rehabilitation counselor.
The site has regular and special educational resources: excerpts from my books, free lesson plans for memory strategies, Dolch sight word activities, books for children and educators, etc. The focus is on learning abilities instead of disabilities.
