4.0 out of 5 stars entertaining book
It is good to find a book of funny cryptograms. However, I agree with another reviewer that there is not enough room above the puzzles to write on. The letters end up jammed together. Be sure to have a well-sharpened pencil. There are 370 cryptograms - 5 to a page, with most of them at about a "medium" level of difficulty. If you are looking for really challenging...

3.0 out of 5 stars Why do so many cryptogram books have so little room to write?
Common sense is apparently in short supply about some things. There's hardly any room to write in this book. I did the first puzzle and had a hard time fitting all the letters into the small space allowed. For me, the space between lines is adequate but the letters and words are too close together.

This seems to be a common problem with cryptogram books and...

This seems to be a common problem with cryptogram books and it takes so much away from what should be a relaxing hobby.

3.0 out of 5 stars Funny quotes but too easy, September 1, 2011
This review is from: Funny Cryptograms (Paperback)
Full of cute quotes but if you've worked cryptoquotes for awhile, this book will be too easy for you. Great for beginners.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cryptograms are Fun...and Funny!, May 21, 2009
This review is from: Funny Cryptograms (Paperback)
This is a book of great cryptograms. It lives up to its name - funny cryptograms...they really are funny!! The ONLY drawback to this book that it has really small print and the words are kind of close together, which makes it hard to write above the letters (you have to write really small!) and if you need to erase, most of the letters you've entered get erased instead of just the one or two you were aiming for. Otherwise, it's really really fun!

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing to laugh at, February 11, 2012

Maybe a handful that were a chuckle, but most did not even make sense. The fonts is poor for this type of book. Purchase two other books by Sterling Publishing Co, Inc. One is; "Humorous Cryptograms" by Helen Nash & Dorothy Masterson and the other on is; "Challenging Cryptograms" by Helen Nash. I will never buy any of this publishers or authors books again.

I really enjoy Cryptograms, and complete at least one a day. Wish I could remember the big or giant book I went through and give you the name, it was very good!
