THE AUTHOR HAS COMPLIED STORIES AND POIGNANT THOUGHTS INTO WAYS THAT WILL MAKE YOU SMILE AND TEAR UP AT THE SWEETNESS OF IT ALL. I THINK EVERYONE WILL SEE THEMSELVES OR SOMEONE THEY LOVE OR LOVED IN HERE. SHE TOUCHES ON THE CHANGING ROLES OF TODAYS GRANDMOTHERS AND THE GRANDMAS OF THE PAST THAT SHAPED OUR LIVES AND MADE US LOVE THEM SO MUCH. IF YOU KNOW A NEW GRANDMOTHER, SEND HER THIS BOOK. SHE WILL LOVE IT. IF YOU ARE A GRANDMOTHER AND YOU NEVER HEARD OF THIS BOOK BEFORE, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY IT. THIS BOOK IS A LITTLE TREASURE TO ALL WHO RECEIVE IT. BY THE WAY, I HAPPENED ON THIS BOOK AFTER MY MOTHER PASSED AWAY. SHE HAD PICKED IT UP FOR ME YEARS AGO AND FORGOT DUE TO DISTANCE AND FAILING MEMORY TO SEND IT ALONG. I FOUND IT AMONGST HER HUNDREDS OF BOOKS WITH MY NAME ON IT. A TREASURE FROM THE PAST WITH HER HANDWRITING INSIDE. YOU SEE, I BECAME A GRANDMOTHER AT 40. OH, THE SWEETNESS OF IT ALL....

Today's grandmother is hardly old enough to be a grandmother. We envision grandmothers as those who bake apple pie, spend the day ironing, and are at least 55. These days it is hardly unusual to be a grandmother before you are forty.

I bought this book as a gift for my Mother-in-law & she loves it! I have often told her she doesnt look like a Grandmother & thought this would be a cute book.I flipped through it & found so many funny & inspiring stories that i had to read it as well. And i am not a Grandmother!This book is for anyone who will enjoy touching stories that you'll remember & if you would like a laugh.

A very quick reading book , but by far one of the funniest I read. It's a book for all grandmothers everywhere and when the grandmothers are finished pass on to your daughters who will also enjoy the read. It hit home in so many ways, with truths that moms and daughters everywhere share as they grow up together. Just an enjoyable hour well spent reading why I love being a grandmother (well really a grandjoy)
I knew before I read this book what my role as a grandmother was but this little book proved it.

Purchased this for the wife of a business associate who was becoming a grandmother for the first. She loved it!

I got this as a gift for my mom, since she's a new grandma and it's VERY cute. I think it makes a great gift for mom's who are shocked that suddently they're GRANDmoms.

I bought this book for my friend to take for the drive down to see her brand new grandson-to-be. She said she cried and she laughed and it brought back so many memories.

Bought this for my mother, and decided to read it after her.
Very well written, and mom was very pleased as well.

This is a laugh-out-loud book but with capturing the deep emotins of becoming a grandmother at the same time. Ms Wyse has certainly captured the modern style of being a grandmother and made her come to life. I have given it to each of my friends as they announce they are going to be a grandmother.I also reread it from time to time just to see how I am doing as a grandmother and what might come next.

I enjoyed the book for light entertainment. Best read in short segments. A fun little read.
