PreS. The main draw here is the adorable babies, photographed by Arma, in insect and animal disguises that could all win top prize at any costume party. The accompanying writing in Baby Bugs, however, is weak and repetitive. Certain phrases sound awkward, such as "I'm a fly and I can fly." Also, Arma begins the book with rhyming sentence pairs, loses the sequence on two pages, and then returns to it at the end. Funny Farm fares better, with the author sticking to identifying animal sounds: "The cow says Moo! The sheep says Baa." This is currently one of my one year old daughter's favorite books. Every time she turns to the last page with all the animals she squeals with delight!

My 8 month old daughter really loves this book. She likes the bold pictures. She really loves it when we read together and I make the animal noises. I find her quite often looking at this book by herself. My daughter absolutely loves looking at other babies. I would recommend this strongly for any young reader.

This is cute, but the best one in the series is Tykosaurs. That's the only one my son really likes.
