Book Description

March 2004
Maybe it's Eve Arden. For some it's Bea Arthur. Or perhaps Beaver's mom, Barbara Billingsley. Did sultry Ann Sothern slay ya?

What do these ladies all have in common? They starred in some of the best-loved sitcoms ever aired. And they were funny, funny, Funny Ladies.

Funny Ladies, the new TVTidbits book by acclaimed TV trivia expert Michael Karol (author of Lucy A to Z: The Lucille Ball Encyclopedia, among others), spotlights the lovely ladies and wisecracking dames who made us laugh, from Gracie Allen to Jane Wyatt.

Literally hundreds of stars are given the TVTidbit treatment in Funny Ladies: instead of traditional biographies, you'll get nugget after nugget of information about all your faves.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a wonderful, informative TV trivia book!, November 27, 2004
This review is from: Funny Ladies: Sitcom Queens (Paperback)
How delighed I was to read this wonderfully informative book about all my favorite TV funny ladies--Joan Davis, Ann Sothern, Bea Arthur, Mary Tyler Moore and many moore :). The author's style is very easy to read and there are so many facts and tidbits that it is very enjoyable. I would highly recommed it to anyone who is interested in TV trivia. It is also a book to return to again and again, because you cannot possibly catch all the tidbits in one read. This author has also written three books on Lucille Ball, which are terrific, too. Enjoy!
