I like the film version better....but it is still worth every penny. Cant beat the old ones. Great preformers, fun play

I would recommend those that are only familiar with the movie try at least the numbers in this album that aren't included in the movie soundtrack. The cast is largely the same so you'll recognize the voices, but songs like "Impossible" and "That'll Show Him" are absolutely wonderful and not to be found in the film soundtrack.

I rate it only four (4) stars because some of the songs I do prefer the film version ("Lovely" for example) but overall its an excellent album. For those that own the film's soundtrack, I would suggest at least picking up some of the songs that are extra from the stage version, "Impossible" and "That'll Show Him" truly being the standouts in that category. You won't regret it.

As a fan of this play the original cast album is, of course, a delight. For those uninitiated, listen to the lyrics and catch a lot of smiles and a few chuckles. A lot of fun.
