1989: The adventure begins during the summer after his freshman year of college when Andy Stevenson accompanies his grandmother on a six-day trip to California to celebrate her brother’s fiftieth wedding anniversary. Once there, however, life becomes a series of comical faux pas with relatives who can’t remember his name, women who want to charge him $10 to put suntan lotion on their bodies and where a handsome young man kisses him at the anniversary party. It’s that kiss that starts a chain reaction in Andy and forces him to reevaluate what he thinks he knows, what society wants him to believe and why so many people in California are talking about his assets!
Kage Alan resides in the Detroit area with his half-Asian & wholly domineering partner, and their fish, all of whom are affectionately named "fish". He spends his days writing, listening to music, and seeking out the almighty deity known only in hushed whispers as He-Who-Walks-Behind-the-Blu-Ray-Racks.
After spending 3 ½ years writing somebody else's book, Kage ventured out on his own and wrote his first comedy, "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to My Sexual Orientation". Work began on the sequel, "Andy Stevenson Vs. the Lord of the Loins," shortly after completing the first book, but revisions would be put on hold while touring to promote A Funny Thing... and the publication of the aforementioned somebody else's book he'd written. He is currently involved in releasing his 4th novel, "Gaylias: Operation Thunderspell", while writing his 5th one and planning the 6th.
Kage celebrates New Release Blu-Ray Tuesday each week, enjoys eating sushi, fibbing to his partner about what Blu-Rays he may or may not admit to picking up that week, making fun of people who work at Blockbuster, playing Laser Tag and attending Sci-Fi conventions. He has been featured in a Life Journey Tele-Course and his first comedy was used in a Gay Literature class at Grand Valley State University. Kage also boasts about having extensive useless knowledge of 80s b-movies as well as owning many of their rare CD Soundtracks.
