4.0 out of 5 stars Recipe for cheap replacement bubbles!
My daughter got this toy for her birthday. It takes 2 C batteries which were not included, this was a bit of a setback. Once we got the batteries, we attached the bubble solution and went outside on a nice breezy day and had a ton of fun. For about a half hour until we were out of bubble solution. On amazon it comes with an extra it looks like, but we only had the one...

1.0 out of 5 stars What a waste of money - and what a mess!
Don't waste your time with this thing. By the time we invested in the toy, the batteries, etc. we had quite a few dollars into it... for about 15 minutes of fun. The toy can't just be set down on a table, so when my son actually gone bored with it (to my shock because he LOVES bubbles) he tried to set it down and it spilled the remaining GOLD solution all over. Yuck...

My daughter got this toy for her birthday. It takes 2 C batteries which were not included, this was a bit of a setback. Once we got the batteries, we attached the bubble solution and went outside on a nice breezy day and had a ton of fun. For about a half hour until we were out of bubble solution. On amazon it comes with an extra it looks like, but we only had the one tank. I went looking for refills and couldn't find any - you need Gazillion GOLD bubbles by the way because you are trying to make big bubbles, regular bubble stuff will not work. I could not find a refill anywhere - lots of places sold the bubblator, none sold refills. Grrr.

So I did some research and expermenting and came up with this replacement. Buy a big container of regular bubblestuff (I got a 100oz Miracle Bubbles at Toys R Us for [...]) and a 4oz bottle of Glycerin (available in the soap / skin care section of drugs stores - but not all of them (Walgreens did not have it, I found mine in CVS, little plain brown bottle) [...]. Dump the entire bottle of glycerin into the Miracle Bubbles. Mix gently (don't shake vigourously). Do this a day or two in advance of using for best results (the glycerin needs to age a little) - however I did use it right away and did pretty well. Voila - 100oz of replacement bubbles for [...] rather than one tiny little bottle. Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars biggest bubbles ever !, April 14, 2005
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars

My kids love this gun, it blows the biggest bubbles Ive ever seen, and lots of them. We took this to the park and every kid there loved catching bubbles, even the older ones..I mean like 12/13 years old. Its easy for me to use, sometimes the wind wasnt strong enough so I just blew them out myself, no problem. The only negatives I have is that the gun is too big for a small child like a 3 year old. My daughter cant push the trigger hard enough to blow on her own and she cant blow hard enough to get bubbles. My five year old can blow and push the trigger by himself but he always spills all of the bubble solution onto the ground because he forgets not to tip the gun. I found it easier to just blow the bubbles and let them catch them. If you want them to play with this independently you may be disappointed, but if youre willing to join in or have an older child to help, it really is a cool toy and very fun. I wish they had this when I was little.

i bought 2 bublators - one for each of my neices - and a gallon of the cheap bubble liquid for $3.99. The first time we used the bubblators we were on a deck, at a high elevation. And it was a windy day. It was spectacular! gigantic irridecent bubbles!! Since then i have bought 2 more bubblators. I bring them to parties and even to work. it is really fun for adults too! i never have any problems using bubblators. I LOVE THIS TOY. That is why i am writing this review.

This bubble maker is pretty good! Makes large bubbles that never cease to amaze kids. Of course, it's a little messy (especially when there's no breeze, the kids run with it) but that's all part of the fun!

This toy is just a gimmick - stick with the good old magic bubbles and save your money!

My son is 4 and he would rather chase and pop but his 4 year old friends can do it after some simple instruction. It's great.
I bring it to all the back yard parties. It does go through that pricey bubble solution very quickly...

My children love the huge bubbles this thing makes but it goes through a whole container of bubble solution in about 10 minutes which can be very disappointing for them unless we have lots of this very expensive solution.

4.0 out of 5 stars One Of the Better Bubble Makers, July 3, 2006
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Gazillion Bubblator Bubble Blower (Toy)
Worked out of the box- it did what it said- the only downside is it sucks down the pricey bubble juice - and the dollar store brand does not work as well in it in case you were trying to "beat the system". It is so easy a 4.5 year old can use it- not clean it, just use it and leave it for you to clean up.

I bought this toy for my son who LOVES bubbles. I put it together and can not make it work. I checked it several times and the solution will not go all the way up. I gave it to my brother-in-law to check out and he could not make it work either. I can say that the Gazillion bubble solution is the best I have ever used.
