Our island has been in the water (a small lake) less than a month and it has been fatally wounded by turtles (we think). Several really big chunks were taken out of one of the loading docks, and one of the inflation ports on the bottom of the main part was nearly destroyed. Plus, the mesh inset has already torn and it has not been subjected to any large groups or wild parties. We owned a similar style of island that we used during the last two summers, and the mesh insert didn't last on that island either, but it was never attacked, and never developed any type of leak. I think turtles are attracted to the yellow bottom :-(.
