I'm a native English speaker and lived in Austria for 2 years. I was happy to find that Kindle finally had books auf Deutsch for me to read, so I ordered this book. I thought it would be easy enough for me to read, since it has been a while since I've read a book in German. This book is SUPER FUNNY!! I love the narrator's voice; she is super funny and very sarcastic. This is a really good book, I'd recommend it to anyone who likes a funny, sarcastic book. It is easy enough to read for someone with decent German language skills, and I'm also going to recommend it to my German speaking friends and family. Super tolles Buch!! When I'm finished with this I will continue to read Kristin's books. I only wish they were in English, so I could recommend them to my American friends!!

Mein erstes Kerstin Gier Buch, und nur nach wenigen Seiten war ich hin und weg! Witzig geschrieben, so unterhaltsam dass ich es kaum weglegen mochte! Waere schoen wenn Amazon alle ihre Buecher in den USA im Kindle programm haette! Und vielleicht auch etwas guenstiger ;)

I normally read the German classics to keep my German language skills up to par, but this time I wanted to read something contemporary and light. I've found out about Kerstin Gier by accident while watching a YouTube book review by Andrea Koßmann. I wanted to read Gier's novel "Rubinrot", but it was not available for Kindle in the original German, so I bought this one instead.

For those who speak German as a foreign language, I have to say that the prose is clear and easy to follow. The German dictionary on my Kindle was able to translate most of the words I didn't understand. I use the Barron's German-English Dictionary in my Kindle. I was able to read this book in just two days, which is a German language record for me for a 300 page book. That's a testament to how well written the novel is.

The novel itself it's extremely funny. I was laughing out loud on every chapter, and the main character remained sympathetic despite the overreaction to her problems. The romance was a bit predictable, but I find that the same is the case in most romance novels. I have read more romance novels than is proper for a man to admit, and I found this story refreshing despite the predictability. I highly recommend it if you're looking to have a good time reading.

Normalerweise lese Ich die deutschen Klassiker um meine Kenntnisse der deutschen Sprache zu halten, aber diesmal wollte ich etwas moderner und leichter lesen. Kertin Gier ist mir durch Zufall bewusst, während Ich ein Buch Rezension von Andrea Koßmann in YouTube bewachte. Ich wollte Gier's Roman "Rubinrot" lesen, aber es war nicht für Kindle in den Original Deutsch verfügbar, also kaufte ich dieses Roman statt.

Für diejenigen, die Deutsch sprechen als Fremdsprache, muss ich sagen dass die Prosa klar und leicht zu verfolgen ist. Das deutsche Wörterbuch auf meinem Kindle konnte die meisten der Worte dass ich nicht verstand übersetzen. Ich benutze die Barron's Deutsch-Englisch-Wörterbuch in meinem Kindle. Ich konnte dieses Buch in nur zwei Tagen lesen, ein Rekord für mich für ein 300-seitiges Buch auf Deutsch. Das ist ein Zeugnis dafür, wie gut geschrieben dieser Roman ist.

Der Roman selbst ist sehr lustig. Ich lachte laut auf jedem Kapitel, und die Hauptfigur ist trotz der Überreaktion auf ihre Probleme sympathisch geblieben. Die Romantik war ein bisschen vorhersehbar, aber ich finde dass das gleiche der Fall in den meisten Liebesromanen ist. Ich habe mehr Liebesromane gelesen als es für einen Mann richtig zuzugeben ist, und ich fand diese Geschichte erfrischend trotz der Vorhersehbarkeit. Ich empfehle dieser Roman wenn Sie mit dem Lesen entspannen wollen.
