5.0 out of 5 stars Pet review from www.drjustinelee.com
FurBuster: WOWZSERS! When I tried this product out on my cat, I was embarrassed as a pet-owning veterinarian. Where did all that undercoat come from? Usually, I use a traditional wire brush which easily pulls a lot of the cat hair away, but I always worry that it hurts a bit. This FurBuster really pulled a huge amount of the undercoat right out. Using the FurBuster is a...

1.0 out of 5 stars Nothing compared to Furminator!
My friend gave me her Furminator to try and it took out tons of hair from my long haired kitty. I went to Walmart to see what they carried and this "FurBuster" was the only available tool that was similar. It looks the same but doesn't come close to the wonderful job the Furminator did. Also, the cat didn't like this one at all. He even bit me! He tolerated the...

Using the FurBuster is a bit messy (as the undercoat sticks and flys everywhere), but the well-written, easy-to-understand directions warned me about that (Use in an area that is easy to vacuum!). The button used to change blades was initially a bit sticky and hard to use, but I think the blade stayed on well. The handle seemed a bit cheap (cheap plastic), but the product worked really well on my cat. I'm switching to this one for my cats. I also reviewed a few of their other products (Bamboo) at my blog http://questionsaboutcats.blogspot.com/.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect!, June 16, 2008

This is, without a doubt, the best fur comb I have ever used. The first time I used it, I had a pile of cat fur big enough to make another cat! Most of my cats love it and one even "asks" for it by rubbing at my ankles and purring when he sees me use it on one of the others, but my two most finicky ones don't like it. They just aren't used to it yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars As advertised - it really works!, May 9, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: FurBuster Cat De-Shedding Tool 822926 (Misc.)
For the first time in a long while, this product actually more than lives up to the advertising hype! Our 3 cats used to run & hide when they realized we were trying to brush/comb them; now, all 3 stretch out and purr during the process!! And the birds have plenty of 'raw materials' to make cozy nests as well :)))

5.0 out of 5 stars Best de-shedding tool I have ever bought, March 8, 2008

I did not buy through Amazon - bought at W**Mart - so it is not clear to me if you are getting the tool (based on picture) or just the replacement blade (which is what Amazon's description makes it sound like). This is without a doubt the best comb I have ever used on my cat for removing dead fur. And she loves to be combed with it too. My cat is short- haired, so I don't know how it works with long-haired cats. Expensive, yes. But this is well worth the money, folks. Highly recommended!

If your looking for a deshedding tool that really works, spend the extra $$ and get the Furminator!

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Effective Groomer, October 28, 2009
This review is from: FurBuster Cat De-Shedding Tool 822926 (Misc.)
I love this item!

It's extremely similar to the Furminator, but cheaper in price.

While shopping for new grooming tools to de-fur the house, my mildly cat allergic boyfriend asked around about grooming tools. He came home one day saying "Chirsite from work, she says there's this tool called the Furminator..." I went and did a little research on the Furminator and despite the gads and gads of excellent reviews I was still a little worried about the 50 or so bad reviews about bald cats and the like. So, I also checked with my vet who told me that they loved it and if a cat went bald it was likely from over grooming. They also mentioned that there were various other similar products that are less expensive. Apparently Andis even makes one that vibrates to massage and calm your pet while you groom. My vet uses the Andis one to groom a live in cat there, but the vibration would terrify the more anxious of my two cats and so I steered clear.

I purchased this one for $14 at Wal-mart.

So far, both of my cats have loved it. One of my cats even usually hates being groomed and won't let me brush her with the other wire brush I own. She still won't let me do her belly, but I can get her back and tail, which makes a huge difference considering the is a medium/long haired cat.

After only a week, it has gotten a ton of hair off the cats and I can already tell a difference in the amount of fur being transferred to my furniture. Additionally, despite several reviews for similar products (not for this one in particular) this type of hair remover has left my cats softer than they were before. Their coats look just as good and feel even better.

My only qualm is that it was a little difficult to get the blade in at first, but I think it's just a tight fit because it is very sturdy when put together and the blade never wobbles or slips out. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with cats (or dogs).

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!, August 10, 2008
This review is from: FurBuster Cat De-Shedding Tool 822926 (Misc.)
I was looking to buy the FURminator but it was sold out at the pet store. I got the FURbuster and it is fantastic! My cats purr when they see it and the amount of hair that comes off them is unbelievable. I highly recommend this product, as would my cats (Sebastian & Mufasa)!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is amazing, June 14, 2008

I, too, purchased mine at the evil "W" store. I cannot believe the amount of fur that comes off my cat when I comb her with this. Be sure to have a wastebasket within reach when you use it!

5.0 out of 5 stars cat loves it, July 5, 2010

My long haired cat absolutely loves this brush. In general he likes being brushed with any comb for a short period but often becomes annoyed with it in a couple of a minutes and runs off. When I use this brush , he is so happy and relaxed, he even lets me brush his stomach area which normally he does not let me near. However, my short haired cat doesn't seem to like it much & it doesn't remove much fur from her... I know she has extra fur too because when I pet her it comes off like crazy ...I'm thinking it could have something to do with the size of the comb but there is no guide to choosing the right size blade based on the hair length of the animal. It does take off a ton of hair , the first time I used it I was sitting in front of a fan and it was a nightmare , hair flew everywhere! I wasn't expecting it because every other comb I've used the hair sticks to the comb until you pull it off, this one doesn't work that way so be prepared.. My sister came over without knowing I had bought a new comb and commented on how soft & nice the cats fur seemed that day, so I think it really works at least for long haired cats. I think there may be a less cat hair tumbleweed on the hardwood floors as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Didn't know my cat shedded until I used this!, August 16, 2009
This review is from: FurBuster Cat De-Shedding Tool 822926 (Misc.)
I never see evidence of shedding in my house, but I got this because I was told brushing would make my cats' coats even shinier. To my shock, a huge pile of fur accumulated! Their fur looked healthier and shinier and everything...and in the week since starting daily use, I sneeze less! Guess they were shedding after all!
