Furby is an amazing interactive toy that gives lots of fun and includes tons of technology in a very limited space, position sensors, motion sensors, light sensors, sound, games, touch and mouth sensors, random responses and a big vocabulary.
I need to add here, after reading the reviews, that the problem with some furbys that have been in a box for a long time is that the gears get stuck because the furby hasn't been used even for decades, people unfortunately don't know this. If your furby doesn't start right away, you need to hit the bottom of the furby several times, till you hear the motor sound, and he starts to move. Sometimes it's so stuck that you need to hit hard some even took 30 minutes, but it's worth the try. This problem has dissapointed many, that don't know what to do, and other problems that could come with furby, like mute furbys, can be easily fixed, for example, replacing the speaker, it's very easy, you need to remove the plastic tie from the bottom, remove some screws and change the speaker. If the furby definately doesn't work, then that would be a factory defect, but most furbys work, with a little help.

This certainly brings back memories of the late 90's. I have seen this cute little guy perform and he is delightful. I know that my little grand daughter will enjoy him as well. I think he is cuter then the new models.

The Furby I received I ordered for my God daughter for Easter. I had one myself many years ago and told her she could have it, but I had given it away and forgot I had done so. I set out looking for a Furby in the retail stores, but none to be found. I then thought out plan B - the internet and there it was and at a great price. I presented it to her last weekend and she was thrilled!!! So glad this plan worked out. Thanks for being there and shipping it out so quickly.

This is clearly giraffe print and not cream striped. Otherwise I love it.

I bought the toy on 4/23/09 for my little grandson's birthday which is 5/21/09. We put batteries in it and followed the instructions for activating it and nothing happened. It doesn't work. The toy was listed as "new" and "secured in the box", both were false. The box was "taped" so well that it was basically destroyed trying to get the toy out! Then the toy doesn't work. My grandson was heartbroken when his toy didn't work as I was when I had to explain to him it didn't work. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in my recent purchase!

I bought two mint condition factory sealed Furby robots, the first was a 1998 gray spotted, and the second was a 1999 multi-colored. Both broke down within 2 years of slight operation. The first one's eyes came unhinged and are now busted. The second one is a bit more interesting. It fell off a shelf, proceeded to jam and overheat, and nearly caught fire had the battery compartment not come dislodged after being thrown against the wall. It is not like they were too fun either. They are annoying, never wake up, and are extremely stupid. They react to light, sound, and touch, which would be cool if they had more then 5 phrases for each sensor. Furby is flawed, stupid, and quite outdated. Get your kids a modern toy that is guaranteed to last, not a decade old freaky owl that can't even survive a short fall.

I bought this furby used, and it had eyelashes on just one eye. That fell off shortly after I opened it. Works fine, but doesn't look new by any means. My grandaughter plays with it when she comes over and she thinks it is a hoot.
