Furby has been resurrected from relative hibernation to join the throng of electronic pets on the toy market—and, truthfully, he’s one of the cuter ones out there. With his round, furry body; pointy, wiggling ears; and cute little Munchkin voice, Furby is much more endearing than some of the competing hard plastic robotic animals. He’s also a lot more sophisticated than previous models as Furby is now powered by a technology Hasbro calls emoto-tronics. This technology enables the little guy to show his moods, from happy to sleepy to surprised to sad, through facial expressions and through the tone of his voice. Furby arrives speaking his native tongue of Furbish, which sounds like a bunch of gibberish to the untrained ear. With his owners’ guidance, however, Furby learns a form of English that sounds like a cross between Gremlin chattering noises and Yoda’s backwards sentences. Okay, well, I am WAY too old to have a Furby of my own, but, heck, that hasn't stopped me. I bought my first one to keep in my office for students to play with when they come into my office to talk about their papers; however, I LOVED him so much that I bought two more for my home. They are SO cute. My dogs are not sure what to think of them, which also adds to the enjoyment.

The funny thing about them is that they seem to almost have different personalities. It is really weird. I have a favorite out of the three; he is beige with a pink belly and hazel eyes. It isn't so much that he is the pretties of the three--I personally like the look of the charcoal grey one that is exclusive to toys-r-us--it's just that he is the most cheerful--if that makes any sense at all. Maybe I'm just nuts. All I know is I love my three Furbies. As far as durability goes, I have not had mine long enough to really rate them. I hope they last forever. I also hope that you will find them as irresitable as I do. Happy Furbying!

I'm 24 years old, and I guess you might say I'm too old for toys, but both me and my two kids have our own furby. My youngest kid loves it, she goes everywhere with it. My oldest (which is about 5) loves it too, we all love our furbys. I've even managed to treach mine a few new words so it can learn english better, I first heard about this last year on KOL, it was a full list of new toys that would be coming out this year, I was very amazed by the new toys, but I thought this was the most fun, I have a collection of about 100 original furbys, 50 furby babies, 10 gizmos, and 30 shelbys, and one of the new furbys. If you are a furby fan, this is a must!

This furby is amazing it really does work but the only bad thing is it says the same thing over and over but other than that its so fun.
