This item is awesome!! I have a cat and dog. My dog doesnt shed pratically at all but my cat however never stops! It doesnt hurt her at all and she enjoys it, she even purrs the entire time. I got handfuls of hair off of her and it just didnt stop. The next day I brushed her again and I still got hand fulls of hair. I would recommend this to anyone with cats or a dog!!
