I'm not sure why a couple of people said they're not sharp... perhaps it was a fluke in the product they received? They are extremely sharp, and the case that they come in is very nice, although I wound up purchasing a 12 inch magnetic knife bar to display them on because the case just took up too much space in my tiny apartment's tiny drawers. They are also very comfortable to use, the material the handles are made of is very nice. I use the Santoku far more than the other two, but they are perfectly nice as well. I plan on purchasing Furi's knife sharpener to maintain them. Overall, it's a very nice set at a reasonable price, and I would definitely recommend them.

I'm a cook, and I like these things. I've had no trouble keeping an edge on them, I like the grip, I like the magnetized case, and I like the fact that if someone walks off with one, if someone uses one incorrectly and damages it, or even if some well meaning soul trashes one in the dishwasher ar work, I can either bring it back nice and sharp again, or I can get a new one for just a couple of bucks. They're not really like my old Forschner or Wusthoff "Work horses," but for what they are, they're a nifty little set, and they're FINE for any kind of home kitchen use. I'd buy my Mom a set... and I don't let my wife touch mine. 'Nuff said.

This was a nice addition to my Rachael Ray collection, and a great introduction to her line of knives. These knives are super-sharp (which is a good thing, right?), so be very careful.

A must have in your kitchen. It is light and fits easily in my hand. The most I love about the Santoku knife is that I use very little effort to cut through hard foods, like a squash for example. I was truly amazed at how easy it gets the job done.

Replaced a set of Henkles that I was disappointed with. I have had a larger set for a couple of years and they are great.

I gave this set to my mom and she loves them. Furi is a good product and they hold an edge very well. These days most knives do not.

have recently been on a knife search and came up with these and a couple other furi knives. i love them! really sharp and feel nice in my hand. have to get used to not pushing down as hard when cutting things like sweet potatoes ! was so used to my old knife, it took a little while to get used to being able to go thru things so fast and easy ! i like the way these knives look, too. the case is a lot more substantial than i thought it would be when i ordered it. the paring knife is nice but longer than i am used to. am going to order one of the shorter ones for certain things. i did buy a sharpener to use with these but i don't think they will need to be sharpened for a while. i held up a piece of paper and sliced right through it with the santoku knife, so, it's really sharp ! in short, i think this is a really good buy and i'm glad i bought them.

My husband ordered a set for himself and really liked them. Then our daughter-in-law said she would love to have a set for Christmas so we ordered her a set. They are really nice knives.
