4.0 out of 5 stars Control your sound rack
The Furman M-8x2 is a no-frills power conditioner for sound guys with a just few toys to protect. I bought it for my small anvil rack of Behringer mixer, Roland digital delay, Kawai sound module, and amplifier. The front outlet is very useful for a Littlite to see your mix settings in a dark studio or club.

The Furman does what it's supposed to. I like the...

2.0 out of 5 stars Looking cheap inside and out
I open and take a look under the hood. There is only one simple circuit, exactly 5 (five) electronic components. 3 capacitors, 1 register, and 1 inductor.

It look cheap inside and outside.

For me I rather do not use it to save space than use this one.

The Furman does what it's supposed to. I like the convenience factor, and knowing that my sound gear won't be trashed by PG&E.

Recommended.

Great product, Great price.

Do you just want a power conditioner to protect all your equipment?

This thing doesn't have the pull out lights, but really? Do you really need pull out light bulbs?

Maybe for a big rack, but not everyone needs a big rack. Sometimes a smaller portable rack that is easier to handle is the way to go.

And ya don't need lights for that.

yeah.

Bought this unit because I was having some problems with AC line noise which this unit is supposed to control. I am still having the same problem. This unit did nothing to filter the noise at any audible level. It simply does not work at all. It may be providing a constant power level but that is not why I bought it. I cannot hear any difference as far as filterring noise goes. The amp is a peavey 5150 and is whisper quiet at home with or without a guitar plugged in but at the place where I play ( a school) it is all noise even without a guitar plugged in and running out of the furman>>>>>>
