I use the PL-8C in my bass rig. One of the major reasons I decided to get this particular Furman is because a friend of mine told me that his worked for him. I mainly wanted to get something to protect all of the pieces in my rack, but I was surprised to find how much this power conditioner augments my sound.

For one thing, there is a marked decrease in signal noise, and hum. I swear that out of left field, my bass has this punchy sound that was never there. I love how there is a outlet on the front of this Furman, as I use it to power my laptop, which I use to read music off of. Also, there are 2 different banks of outlets, so that everything isn't on one circuit. The outlets in the back are spaced far enough apart so that you can have up to 3 wall wart type AC adaptors for pedals or other rack gear, although they all seem to be powered with a universal plug these days. The LED lamps are nice and bright, will last forever, and can be dimmed! Awesome!

I never have that sinking feeling of walking into a club and seeing seriously dubious electrical wiring and outlets. As long as everything is going through the Furman, it's good to go. Your rack can get hit by lightning and the Furman would just turn off everything, and dissipate the excess energy. Afterward, you just power it up again and keep
rocking.

This installed in the rack super quick. Its a little heavy for rack gear, but nothing that a professional rackmount couldn't handle. Its also quite deep, and reaches all the way back to the rear of my rack, so that you never have a problem of finding outlets, or reading anything on the back there. There is even an attachment for a gooseneck lamp.

I found mine as a demo unit from a wholesaler, so I got a good deal. But I would gladly pay $180 if I had to replace it with no regrets.

A nice unit. Well thought out. The back BNC light socket and switch is a great for adding a light to the back. Very helpful feature for plugging in cables in the back of a dark rack. The outlet spacing for wall warts is also helpful.

I have known a number of people who have owned a Furman power conditioner and have been very pleased with them and I can also say that I am equally pleased. The conditioner has plenty of space on the back to run what you need for mobile DJ applications including room for bulky power adapters that many microphones come with. The LED lights are helpful, though they do have a bit of a yellow tint to them. You can turn them on and off via a control knob that also adjusts the brightness. It stays cool during all night gigs and I couldn't be happier with the product.

I have a recording studio with equipment to protect. I have 3 power units at my work station. I use an Imac with Logic pro 9 and a Apogee Duet for my interface. Avalon Pre amp, BBE 882, Roland & Yamaha Keyboards along with GR 50, and lots of other electronic gear. Phantom power supplies for my neumann Mics. Along with an Apple's high end laptop for portable work.

The lights over the rack makes adjusting controls easy on all the gear under the power supply. I have used one for some time and decided to split my systems into 3 sections. Each device has plenty of room when plugged into the power supply. The front outlet I use for guitar amps or other equipment that I use only a little. Would be nice to have a phantom power supply built in.

I am next to neon lights with no hum or nose of any kind. Live recording is clean. My old fender Fat Fifties Pickups sometimes cause the 60 cycle hum and some scraching noise from the pick guard. It is a work around sometimes. I love to play and make music with my friends.

I highly recommend protecting your gear with this high quality power conditioner.

I ordered a pl-8c but recieved the pl-plus c. I would of been happy with either one but i'm glad I got the pl- plus. A $229 unit for 119. Thats awesome.

Works well with no issues. This one is made in China. Hope it holds up.
