Editorial Reviews

cEvin Key and Dwayne Goettel s first outing (and Dwayne s last before his death) showed a progression into territory far more experimental than even Skinny Puppy s stranger moments.

I gave this a three star review for two reasons. The first reason is because the Re:Dux CD is kind of junk. I felt like it was more noise than just a Download album, infact I would argue it somewhat does not flow with the album. This is not a good introduction to Download at all, if you want a good introduction, try "Fixer", "Effector" or "The Eyes of Stanley Pain". This to me shows you how the band started out but all in all, I find myself wanting to skip tracks and felt some were great, some were weak. This is THE LEAST accessible album for Download so please do not use it as a starting point, or guide to Download, you may find yourself disappointing and miss out on all their other efforts. This one is for the collectors only, or to get a wider scope of how Download started out.
