From Library Journal
Ramsay's previous book, Start Your Own Interior Design Business and Keep It Growing! (Touch of Design, 1993), was full of business tips aimed at professional interior designers. Although this directory is aimed at the same audience, practicing interior designers already have access to more companies, some of whom deal only to the trade, through such guides as the directory issue of Interior Design magazine. Consumers will benefit the most from this directory, which includes guidelines to purchasing through a wholesaler and benefits that come from working with a decorator, such as design expertise, knowledge of product, and assistance with installation. The directory portion lists suppliers of decorating items, including furniture, lamp shades, and wall, window, and floor coverings as well as professional organizations. No other book provides the consumer with such nationwide access to these companies; well recommended for public libraries.

Review
Buy interior furnishings less expensively through this resource book, which includes 800-number and lesser-known companies among its resources. Enjoy a fine guide on how to get the most on a limited budget: many of these resources have low overhead and pass the benefits on to their customers. -- Midwest Book Review
