I first encountered this book at my local library, where I borrowed four books on similar subjects. Most of them were boring, complicated and hard to follow the techniques. This book absolutely stood out for its great practical advice, with good illustrations, and a great writing style. The author has a sense of humour which he uses well to guide beginners through the pleasures and pitfalls of furniture restoration. Highly recommended!
