Great book: it's easy to do, the instructions are great, and the wraps are impressive. My next hostess gift will be furoshiki wrapped and I know that will leave a memorable impression. Some of the more notable wraps are the easiest-wine bottles, casserole carriers, spur of the moment bag made from fabric-how cool is that?

FUROSHIKI FABRIC WRAPS is a book I will treasure...practicality with an international twist (pun intended)! I love that the techniques are so well explained and diagramed that every one I've tried was successful at first attempt. Besides the elegant appearance of the wrap, this makes throwaway paper and ribbons history at my house. I can't wait to walk into another potluck dinner with a furoshiki-wrapped casserole. Nice job, authors!

I received this book a couple of days ago and can't wait to paint or dye some fabric for making some of these wraps. The book itself is beautifully photographed and an inspiration to those of us who love to decorate fabric for special occasions. The index cards in the back are a wonderful extra bonus! I look forward to being able to give two gifts to special friends and family---the contents and the wrapping!

This book is everthing -- beautiful, useful, and enabling me to move forward in my "green" journey. I love it. I'm not personally creatively artistic, but I can create what is in this gem. Much appreciated, and I am looking forward to more from these women!

Besides being a good reference guide, this is truly a beautiful book. I purchased a few more from Amazon to give as gifts.

Furoshiki is Japan's contribution to practically-beautiful textile totes: whether you choose to use Aunt Tillie's old silk scarves, or the bed linens supersized when you upgraded the bed; or purchase new as yard goods, for exquisite beauty or practicality, textiles are the way to go to move away from the throw-away *disposable* lifestyle.
I use this book and others when I present to retirement and women's groups about the Green Life. The pictures invite perusal, but i find i must still teach with hands-on practice.
