1.0 out of 5 stars Unimaginative, not worth your time., January 22, 2008
This review is from: Further Adventures of Wonder Woman, The (Mass Market Paperback)
I read this book recently and I have to say I was disappointed. The stories lack imagination. Wonder Woman is rarely seen doing anything super-heroish. Most of the stories are set in real life settings that have nothing to do with fantasy or mythology. In one story, Wonder Woman finds a baby in a dumpster. Then she finds an adoptive couple for the baby. WOW, really exciting stuff! The first story barely involves Wonder Woman. One story pits Ares against native Americans, Wonder Woman's total involvement is making a call to Washington to get some meetings arranged for her friend. It's almost laughable how bad that story was.

I read the other Anthologies (Batman, Superman), and they were much better than this one. The authors did not know how to write Wonder Woman. She is just a bystander in these stories. The stories are very mundane, nothing exciting happens in them. If you want to escape reality and enjoy a super-hero novel, don't bother reading this book. Another book called Wonder-Woman: Mythos was much better and is a great read. Too bad there are not more books for Wonder Woman fans, she has a rich history and a creative author could write an entertaining story. I wish DC would give Timothy Zahn a crack at it.

This collection of stories all take place during the Perez era and later. Some really good stories. If your WW fan no disappointments you can get right into reading and enjoy.

3.0 out of 5 stars Super Reader, July 31, 2007
This review is from: Further Adventures of Wonder Woman, The (Mass Market Paperback)
To complete their Big 3 DC character anthologies, Greenberg put together one featuring the Amazon Princess. A little shorter than the others, probably because not as many writers are Wonder Woman fans, or have a handle on the whole thing.

Both Joey Cavalieri and Will Murray stepped up to have a crack though.
