About the Author

Besides being a writer, JB Lynn is a compulsive reader, a runner (of sorts), an enthusiastic cook (who doesn't get the appeal of the Food Network), and someone who has an irresistible urge to eavesdrop at all times.

JB has a great love of her husband, dogs, coffee, purple ink, spiral notebooks, running gear, hot showers, and '80s music. Given enough time, all of these things will eventually show up in her books.

More About the Author

When a fan told her that she's a "fabulous author", a "great sport", and a "very cool chick", JB Lynn immediately thought, "that's what I want my obituary to say!".

A Jersey Girl transplanted to the Sunshine State, JB (you can call her Jen) writes laugh-out-loud suspense and mysteries, along with goosebump-raising thrillers.

She also guzzles coffee, spoils her dog, wastes endless hours daydreaming, and does her best to be a "cool chick" (but if you ever see her running, swimming, or biking, you'll know how dismally she fails).

Good follow up story, good light story with quirky characters....can't wait to read the next one in the series. Wish they were labeled 1,2,3...

This is such a fun series. JB Lynn writes a great story and adds such depth to her characters. They all have their quirks and I just love Godzilla and DeeDee. A lizard with such wit and snark is funny enough alone, but to add a big, lovable, grammatically-challenged Doberman is hilarious. This is a book that has so much going on, you won't want to put it down until you find out how everything turns out. I really think the first book needs to be read before this one. It will help in understanding all the characters including Maggie herself.

In this story, Maggie has to raise money for a lawyer to defend the custody of her niece Katie. Her "boss" gives her the target who happens to be a former uncle (and drug dealer) and the person who Maggie believes is responsible for killing her sister, brother-in-law and putting her niece in the hospital. She also has to perform her duties as maid of honor at her best friend's wedding, reunite with a friend from the past that she had such a crush on, shake off advances of a police officer she went out with a couple of times in the past, stop the emotions and feelings she has for her hitwoman mentor, experience threats that have to do with her incarcerated father, and deal with her crazy aunts. A lot goes on in this story!

Overall what I liked about this one was that there was a little more romance for Maggie. I think Maggie needs someone to love her and be there for her every day. She deals with so much on her own and while Godzilla and DeeDee are great for her, they are still pets and not people. I really liked Zeke in this story and went back and forth about whether or not I wanted he and Maggie to start a relationship. I still like Patrick the best and hope he and Maggie can find a way to be together when all is said and done.

Once again JB Lynn had me laughing as I read about the adventures of Maggie and her two animal sidekicks: an Anole lizard, God (short for Godzilla) and a Doberman, DeeDee (aka Doomsday).

Maggie needs to hire a lawyer quickly when someone threatens to sue for custody of her niece, Katie. To hire a lawyer Maggie needs fast cash. That means she needs to agree to the latest hit request from the mob boss who got her into the hitwoman business to begin with.

JB Lynn throws plenty in Maggie's way as she deals with family, possible love interests, and those wacky pets. As I read I was impressed with how Lynn nuanced the story and characters just enough to evoke unexpected emotion a time or two.

Recommended to fans of suspense with light romance and plenty of humor. I also recommend reading the books in order - you'll understand the story and characters much more. Because of how this novel ends I look forward to book three in the Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman series.

I'm so glad I've found this series! This is the second book in the series, and JB Lynn has found a formula that really works! The main character has been in a horrible accident. Her sweet little neice is clinging to life in a coma. The medical bills are piling up, so what's a girl to do? When she's offered the job as a "hit woman," it's hard for her to say no. Sounds like serious subject matter, but don't worry, the people she's asked to dispatch to the "after life" are real scumbags! You won't feel sorry for them. You will also come to love her "side kicks," a lizard who (due to her accident) she can suddenly hear talking to her, and a big girly dog named Doomesday. Add to that some goofy family members and a couple of cops she has crushes on and you get a fun ride! If you're looking for something different and something to make you smile, this is it!

J.B. Lynn does it again. I dare say, the addition of the fabulous Doomsday might even make this sequel better than the original. I finished this book in record time. I simply couldn't put it down. As always, Maggie Lee and her "friends" kept me giggling late into the night. I've never had so much fun reading a series. I've downloaded every book and plan to move straight on to the next one.

There are a couple of small typos about mid-way through the Kindle edition, but the story is so good I didn't even care.

This series is just delightful. The kooky cast of characters are so out there and yet so very realistic. Lynn writes the unbelievable so well that you just accept it as completely plausible and don't give it a second thought. Just wonderful!

I can't wait to see what Maggie and her crew get into next! I really LOVE this series. LOVE IT.

I loved CONFESSIONS OF A SLIGHTLY NEUROTIC HITWOMAN after chancing it when knowing nothing. I fell in love with the story and the characters.

Now, in FURTHER CONFESSIONS, we're back with Maggie in her crazy world. I loved the dynamics, the humor and that Maggie wasn't so keen to trust the creepy guy from book 1. The romance was a fun twist in this one, but I must admit I felt quite teased! The end came too soon! When does the next Confessions come out?

Who knows, not me. But when it does you can guarantee I'll be reading it. I love Maggie, DeeDee and Godzilla too much not to find out what happens when things take another turn for crazy in this woman's nowhere NEAR normal life!
