About the Author

Besides being a writer, JB Lynn is a compulsive reader, a runner (of sorts), an enthusiastic cook (who doesn't get the appeal of the Food Network), and someone who has an irresistible urge to eavesdrop at all times.

JB has a great love of her husband, dogs, coffee, purple ink, spiral notebooks, running gear, hot showers, and '80s music. Given enough time, all of these things will eventually show up in her books.

More About the Author

When a fan told her that she's a "fabulous author", a "great sport", and a "very cool chick", JB Lynn immediately thought, "that's what I want my obituary to say!".

A Jersey Girl transplanted to the Sunshine State, JB (you can call her Jen) writes laugh-out-loud suspense and mysteries, along with goosebump-raising thrillers.

She also guzzles coffee, spoils her dog, wastes endless hours daydreaming, and does her best to be a "cool chick" (but if you ever see her running, swimming, or biking, you'll know how dismally she fails).

Good follow up story, good light story with quirky characters....can't wait to read the next one in the series. Wish they were labeled 1,2,3...

She really didn't want to play "hitwoman" again, but she also really needed more money. Not just for her niece's hospital care, but to fight a long-lost aunt who wants to adopt Katie and take her to Vegas. So when Maggie goes out for chocolate pudding with the mob boss and he asks her to take out an opponent, she tells him she'll think about it.

Ms. Lynn's first book was a joy to read and I'm very happy to have had the opportunity to read this sequel. The stories are busy, full of laughs, and always leave me wondering what will happen next.

The author has made Maggie one unique individual. Since a head injury during a car accident, she can now hear animals talk. God (Godzilla) is a lizard, who is pretty smart and pretty smug, likes to give her advice. Doomsday is a Doberman who is really a big sweetie but puts people off by her size. Her favorite statement is: "Gotta! Gotta!" You can guess gotta what.

If the animals weren't enough, she now has three romantic interests. None of them are quite right for her. One is a cop who appears to have some excess baggage; one is man who's already married twice; and one is an old crush from school she thought was gay. Watching her balance relationships and worrying about her feelings for all three is fun. She's not sure what she wants or who with; they all have their attractions. Thank goodness one of them is an expert killer and can offer her advice on how to take out her assigned hit.

Ms. Lynn always amazes me with her ideas. For example, did the animals expedite her hit or didn't they? Did someone else help her? We don't know, but we can sure imagine. That's part of why these books are such fun to read. They aren't boring, they aren't typical, and the murders are almost an accident.

I loved CONFESSIONS OF A SLIGHTLY NEUROTIC HITWOMAN after chancing it when knowing nothing. I fell in love with the story and the characters.

Now, in FURTHER CONFESSIONS, we're back with Maggie in her crazy world. I loved the dynamics, the humor and that Maggie wasn't so keen to trust the creepy guy from book 1. The romance was a fun twist in this one, but I must admit I felt quite teased! The end came too soon! When does the next Confessions come out?

Who knows, not me. But when it does you can guarantee I'll be reading it. I love Maggie, DeeDee and Godzilla too much not to find out what happens when things take another turn for crazy in this woman's nowhere NEAR normal life!

Disco ball murder, talking dog(Doomsday--now known as Dee Dee) and a lizard(Godzilla--wants to be called God)! This Hitwoman contends with a very sick niece, a too fresh boss, a Mob Boss, 3 lively Aunts, 3 sexy men, a bizarre but terrific co-worker, a pregnant BRIDEZILLA best friend. What else could you want,? Ok, her Dad is in prison and her Mom has been committed to a mental hospital. But who is calling her now?

This, the second in the series, is better than the first and leaves you wanting more, and wanting it right now.

The plot is different (love the animals), crazy funny at times but with some serious moments to balance. I definitely recommend it!
