5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant third CD from The Crux (Sal Paradise) October 9, 1999
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Sal Paradise, formally known as "The Crux" in Australia, have produced a marvellous Pavement-style album. It's been a couple of years out now, and it sold like a dog, but it is one of my favourite CDs.
"Celestial Railway" is a great song - listen to the "click clack" of the railway as it goes by.
The first album I actually saw being recorded before my very eyes (I was in the studio one day).

4.0 out of 5 stars Great debut! June 20, 1998
Format:Audio CD
Sal Paradise's debut album is an inspired collection of driving progressive rock "Celestial Railway" and folk-laden ballads "John Grady". Especially of interest for fans of Joe Christmas and Luxury.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite simply an all-time favourite October 8, 2007
By P. Hall
Format:Audio CD
A great album - one of my absolute faves. Very much in the vein of Slanted and Enchanted era Pavement (including a Pavement cover of Perfume-V as a hidden track at the end). Noone knows these guys and this album somehow managed to be roundly ignored, a fact that still mistifies me. The type of album a famous rockstar will fish out of a discount bin (download from a discount music website?) two decades from now and proclaim as genius (a la Nick Drake). Spare yourself the wait - buy it now.
PS - I saw them live once. They were very green.
