Even bad dubbing can't being this one down,

This is terrific and heartbreaking. I never really bought the Tamahome/Miaka romance, but these last two installments have convinced me that this is one of the most romantic shoujo series around. The dubbing could use a little work; Tasuki, the Sieryuu twins and Keisuke Yuuki were given rather grating voices, but I happen to love the dubbed Miaka's voice. Still, if you can afford it, go for subtitles. By the way, OAV stands for Original Animation Video. It can also be written as OVA.

This volume was fabulous. Four episodes included makes this a great buy. I thought the animation had improved greatly over the ealier volumes. The colors are deeper with more detail. The motions are more life like, especially with Tamahome. WOW! Tamahome is by far the GREATEST ANIMATED LOVER. ^_^ YES!!! You just cannot help falling in love with these guys. No other animation compares to Fushigi Yuugi's character lineup. The plot thickens. And, this is the *BEST* voice acting team I have ever come across in animation (Subtitled)!!! They bring the story and the characters to an new level of appretiation. I can't wait for the next volume. ^_^

Finally Miaka can summon Suzaku...oops! It didnt work! A great volume with the exception that episode 26 had the WORST ANIMATION I HAVE EVER SEEN! Nice to have a volume with 4 episodes instead of 3. We're now halfway through the series!

If you like adventure and romance in your animes, I highly suggest this series. (Do take into account that this series is best for children around 13/14 years of age and up. :)

This is so far the one best volumes I have ever seen! Yuu Watase is a genious! Both the humor and serious moments were good. But they showed Miaka bathing too many times. Even if you couldn't see anything, it was annoying. But the way they introduced Chiriko was interesting. The fights between Tamahome and Tasuki were really humorous! And Chichiri was really weird as usual. Mistukake actually talked! And "Chiriko" was revealed. Tamahome was as stupid as always (Sorry I just hate him for almost killing Tasuki). Hotohori was beautiful (duh!). And Nuriko was gay. And same for everyone else. In conclusion, 2 thumbs up and a hug to Tasuki and Chichiri!

Ahh, the comedy, the background music, the action sequences! And the subtitles are actually well written, despite the fact that it's a corporate release... I miss Tomodachi Anime. But there's no denying that FY rules all, especially Tasuki, Chichiri, and Amiboshi.

This video was SUGOI!!! (Did everyone like the Nuriko song? He has a nice voice.) The video was so funny, yet the end of the tape made me cry! The part about Amiboshi was sad, too. The animation in 26 was pretty bad. I hope the next one is better.

I have purchase all the episodes from 1 through the newest one just release. I enjoy all the characters & how they play a part in the plot. I am especially into the story line about the love between Tomahome & Miaka (guess I am just a romantic at heart). I recomend that series as an exceptional buy for anyone who is interested little bit of fantasy, love, action & sorrow. By the way, I am new to on-line can anyone tell me what OAV stands for? I read it in the first couple reviews of the series.

Great love story. Twice something very bad happens to Tamahoma... Something very bad happens to Miaka...Something bad happens to all the characters.... Very cool. Highly recommend. Especially if your a Fushigi Yugi fanatic like me. Guess what? Tasueka(dude with the fan) can't swim ha, ha. Nuriko wants to be a woman. Does he get to ge one?? You'll see.
