1.0 out of 5 stars Good premise, but utter junk., August 18, 2009
This review is from: Fusion CA-IP500 AM FM iPod docking 4x50Watt Receiver with SRS, WOW, OLED Display (Electronics)
I had this unit in my car for exactly 16 days before tearing it out and replacing it with a Pioneer.

When I first saw it in the store, it seemed like a good idea. A head unit where you can slide in an ipod and just go. It would have been good, had it been built even remotely well, but here is a list of the problems I found with it.

1. SRS Wow would turn off every time you changed EQ settings.
2. Shuffle setting was randomly persistent; sometimes it would stay on, other times not.
3. Brightness adjustment had no effect.
4. Volume would reset to 20 every time unit was powered off.

And worst of all:
5. Unit would switch from iPod to radio at random times, resetting playlists, EQ and random settings.

You definitely get what you pay for.

1.0 out of 5 stars Didnt even work..., September 10, 2009
This review is from: Fusion CA-IP500 AM FM iPod docking 4x50Watt Receiver with SRS, WOW, OLED Display (Electronics)
Brand new in the box and did not even power on. My friend had one prior and it actually shorted out after he had it professionally installed. Seems that they need to work on the quality of these head units... I loved all the features it had and the concept just not the best item. Fusion make it better please!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad but..., September 16, 2011
This review is from: Fusion CA-IP500 AM FM iPod docking 4x50Watt Receiver with SRS, WOW, OLED Display (Electronics)
I must admit, I loved the Fusion at first. I've had it for 9 months with no complaints....but for the last couple of months it has been difficult to close the faceplate. I would have to push on the faceplate on a certain spot with moderate pressure, doing that first caused my installation mounting to break, then the other day the tab to hold it in the upright closed position broke. Hello duct tape! I am really dissapointed because I really liked the Fusion, but don't know if I would purchase another in fear of the same issue.
