When I first got my hands on this book (about 20 years ago) it really fired up my desire to practice and get better. I had been playing lots of standard layered beats and this was the first book I'd seen on linear beats. The book contains 52 beats that will expand your drumming vocabulary and increase your limb independence. I think this book is still as valuable today as it was in 1980 when it was first published.

Where's Terry Silverlight in this line up? He's one of the greatest fusion drummers who ever lived and there are plenty of available recordings to prove it.
