Crisp, Clean and Hot,

This review is from: Futura: The Art of Rich Black (Hardcover)
I'll admit that I never heard of R.Black until picking up a copy of Scoot magazine on impulse. What made the mag catch my eye? This authors work on the cover of that particular issue. Which of course led me to order this book. No regrets whatsoever. I'm not an art critic so I won't get into any artistic issues except to say that if you like what you see there's plenty more on the inside and what is there brings to mind a mod-rockabilly sensibility mixed with a touch of pin-up eroticism. Bonus: A few pages of 3-D work ( glasses included!) Nice Touch.

R. Black creates some very appealing work. His music gig posters, magazine covers and illustrations are captivating. I love it. This book collects a variety of his work into one, inexpensive volume. I got my copy signed on his book tour en route to Comic Con. Get your now before he becomes so famous you won't be able to afford his work. ;)
