5.0 out of 5 stars Futurama Meets Famous Artwork, November 15, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Futurama 2009 Wall Calendar (Calendar)
The theme of last year's calender was movie poster parodies, this year it's famous artwork parodies and they're all great. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

I wish Amazon would put up an actual picture of all the drawings for the months. I'll have to do it myself for anyone that's on the edge of making this purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars So cool!, December 27, 2008
By
This review is from: Futurama 2009 Wall Calendar (Calendar)
I'm really glad I found this calendar shopping today. I love futurama and art, so this was a really cool find.

And if you're like me, I'm sure you want to know the paintings used. Here they are:

January - Edvard Munch "The Scream"
February - M. C. Escher "Bond of Union"
March- Alexander Calder "Lobster Trap and Fish Tail"
April - James McNeill Whistler "Arrangement in Grey and Black: The Artist's Mother (Whistler's Mother)"
May - Andy Warhol "Double Elvis"
June - Leonardo da Vinci "Mona Lisa"
July - John Singleton Copley "Watson and the Shark"
August - Grant Wood "American Gothic"
September - Roy Lichtenstein "Blam!"
October - Gustav Klimt "The Three Ages of Woman - Mother and Child"
November - Leonardo da Vinci "The Vitruvian Man"
December - Sandro Botticelli "The Birth of Venus"

I have this at work along with Dilbert, but this is the one I use more often as I like the little daily features like birthdays and strange festivals !
